Christmas + New Year Holiday

  1. This year end break will be different one no matter what. Attending the funeral of my mom's Aunt a very close relative, reminded me on the uncertainties in life and how vulnerable we are. Not long after that, her husband who's in ICU also passed away. I thought he had lost his will to stay alive after hearing about loosing her wife. It is good to think that there's life after death, where both of them can accompany each other once more.
  2. I had arranged a four days trip down to Singapore, staying at Suen Chi and Syn Yin's place. Well, appreciate their generosity and hospitality. My main aim this time to Singapore is to visit my friends and also checking up their life and lifestyle in Singapore. My aim very much achieved and i am glad to have made this trip.
  3. Regardless of what other might think, i thought it was meaningful to know the life and surroundings of people who i care. I manage to met with Xuan and Small White and talk with them. To understand their daily routine, their neighborhood and surroundings, i am already very contended with it already. Although they have no time to show me around, and despite both are already sick, they still make it a point to meet me. I really do appreciate it.
  4. I managed to have some talk with Suen Chi, to catch up with each other. It was a good chat, and again such chat is hard to come by these days. We need the right timing and person also a point in life where we get to meet once more. Her boyfriend is a good lad, and very friendly.
  5. Also, i managed to join Syn Yin at her work place. Meeting her colleagues, visiting her workplace, and also some chat to catch each other up. It was fun and a memorable one. I know she was pretty busy as her boyfriend just returned from US yet she tried her best to spend some time with me.
  6. We had visited nice coffee place and book shop in Tiong Bharu, visited Marina Bay, Golden Sand Casino and Garden by the Bay. It is a very high class place with nice view, recreational area for the whole family and relaxing.
  7. I had only visited the Marina area and Science center for this trip. What is more important is the moment i spent with my friends in Singapore. I am not sure what's in their mind, whether i am just a passerby in their life, or otherwise; but for me, i know this trip and the memory i gathered will be something special for me to be remembered for time to come.
  8. One more good memories locked in my memory box.
  9. After this, a new year will start. I need to brace myself once more for the forthcoming challenge. Another 1.5 to 2 years for me to get ready; to start a new challenge and new phase in life.
  10. What is my direction and plan for the next 3 years, and 5 years ? What is the achievement in sight? Which area that i need to be really focused in ? What is the core values that i perceived and holding on firmly? How about my past memory, can i really handle it and let it go? How long will it takes for me to let go or i still choose to avoid it ?
  11. I need guidance, i need plan, i need care and i need support. I have to be strong, i have to be bold, i have to be open and i have to be disciplined.
  12. At a solitary state, on a lonely path; i can do with more care and support. No one else, but only me can be that 100% supporter for myself. Everyone with their own agenda, their own life to take care of, no one can always be there for me. Only me, and down to me on this path, a solitary path.

THE END OF SECOND SEMESTER

  1. It's been a while since i last posted here. As usual, busy with works and studies, busy to attend  social function such as wedding dinners and outings with friends.
  2. Perhaps it is just too much of assignments, a post-assignment syndrome, it feels like i need to put some citation here.
  3. Finally the second semester ended officially today with the submission of the final group assignment of MIS. Now i am attending last group's presentation while writing a blog.
  4. It seems like the time is catching really fast, between the decision on taking up MBA and the end of semester 2. Yet, at times i felt the graduation is still long way ahead, so is my future plan.
  5. One of the important event of my life happened last month. My beloved mom and dad officially retired from Coffee Shop business. They had just started to enjoy FULL TIME retirement starting from early December.
  6. After working really hard for us, we are all very grateful for their great sacrifices. It is time for them to relax, and enjoy their life. They earned it and surely deserved every moment of it.
  7. My prayer is for them to remain healthy and happy. Perhaps we can have more family outing from now onwards.

A DileMMa

When the Sun rise each day, it breath life to every living creatures;
A busy day for the birdies, for plants to start photosynthesizing; for us to start our daily routine;
There's exception, there's out-liers;
For those who had forgotten to breath, who are unable to breath;
We're sorry that there'll be no more sun-shine for them that morning.

It will be all gloomy dark; no path to proceed and no path to back-track with.
We don't know whether there'll be an underworld, or is there a so called Heaven or Hell;
We do not know is there a life after death, or is there any reincarnation.
With so much uncertainty, hence the scare of Death.
Now, we face the first dilemma.

As we first catches our breath out from mother's womb, greeting us are all the smiling face.
when we are schooling, there's only two things in our mind not other than eat and play.
How about school works? One may ask, we said lets save it for another day.

During our university days, and early adult-hood we have more things to deal with.
As our family grow, more things arises which required our full attention and dedication.
When there's problem with multiple solutions to choose from, we call that life.

Without knowing the consequences of each option, we take it one after another.
There's a situation, there's circumstances where a wrong choice been made;
Again, it's all gloomy dark, a dead end is starring at us.
There's no turning back, there's no help available. This is a not taken path.
Now, we face the second dilemma.

Life or Death ?
Many choose the former but situation will come when the latter is preferred.
Now, Life or Death ? Please answer me.

What Else Do You Want?

1) Although the workload had significantly reduce since end of August, but there seems still not enough time to write a proper post here. I would like to note down some of my feelings, the ups and down here.
2) Perhaps this is the side of me that I do not wish to face directly all this while. I do not wish to remember how helpless I was, and how foolish I had been. The other sides of me who is inferior, lack of confidence, been paranoid, not appreciating the present and whatever that I already had, not able to see far, and just not good enough.
3) Another round of soul searching, gathering all my might and buckle-up to go on. I kept telling myself that. Yet, I still feel my weakness, my downfall. Is that a normal cycle? Up and Down, and Up and Down.
4) Its the same old song just a slight different remix this time. It’s a great deal for me, family and friends, and it has been like that all this while. I felt my future is in the dark now, working hard at work, doing part time studies, but who can be sure and tell me that my future will be brighter and better?
5) At times I picture myself in a long winding road all along. There’s no end to it, and there’s no company beside me. Realistically I know this is not true, but perhaps this is the feeling that I carry indirectly all this time.
6) After the trip in Cambodia, my parents and family came over to visit me in Penang. I brought them to visit Penang, had a drink in Starbucks Strait Quay, my mom’ favourite Chendol and the Assam Laksa in Ayer Itam. My pal, Chua, Lih and Leely came, and I appreciated their visit during very much. I met up with Shu Mei a half day trip in Penang, had a good afternoon tea in MugShot, and movie. Melvin came, we enjoyed dinner in China House and walk around the George town street during mid of July, haha, what the hack was that for, and we had pillow talk in the night. Sharon came with her friends and we met up after my class, had a good talk between us to catch up with each other. I had also met up with my soon; a wonderful fattening supper in China House, spending time chatting, drawing on the mahjong paper and playing Bingo and tic tac toe.
7) So many people came and we spent quality time together, but I am still not satisfied. The reason been is the nature cycle of Up and Down. After the happiness, there’s always the sadness. Always I felt emotional when they left, I will try to sleep, or watch movie, just keeping myself busy so I could think less.

8) The semester had started early this month and finally all the assignments and tests have started to kicks in. It is time to get busy. Guess I will have less time to torture my brain after this. Knowing that it is me and always been me, I will need to put my emo-self aside and move on with next task now.

Cambodia Trip - The Memory and The Future

  1. It was a crazy week before i manage to get back to Subang and catch my flight to Cambodia. Super pack and busy work over the week before and also the rush to settle up my final assignment for this semester.
  2. Anyhow finally i am here in Cambodia, using the computer from the Hotel to post this blog. Currently in Siam Reap just done visiting the magnificient Angkor Wat, Ta phrom, Bayon temple and other interesting places today.
  3. What a tired day that we had walked almost for 6 hours since the morning at 5 am till the evening. Lucky that we had break in between that we could rest our leg. Picture shall be posted in my blog post later when i am back to Malaysia. In short, incredible structure, history and scenery.
  4. The feeling is awesome, i mean to come to a bnew place with a memory. Having came to Cambodia before during the university days for social service in the Kampot Province, Kampong Kehs; the memory awaken as i step foot to this country. The same old airport, the outlook of the country and the people of Cambodia.
  5. This time around is different as i will be travelling to the enormous Tonle Sap and the awesome Angkor Wat. I am travelling with my old friend Chee Jian, well it was only two of us; of course i think that with more people in the party it will be merrier; but the reality that we all area facing is, it is harder now to organize the time to fit into everyone's priority and schedule.
  6. Those were the days that we went to Krabi, Bangkok, and Krabi. This year, if you are asking me why do I come to Cambodia, it is for holiday for sure, but also a try for me; to travel with companion other than my Uni mates.
  7. Times had changed so much and i need to be sure that i am also growing wiser and better in the sense of maturity, and independent-wise. This will surely be a turning-point in my life so far. Setting my eyes beyond the future of next two years when i am turning 30; there are things to be achieved, to be done.
  8. Well, there are still some days to enjoy before the hell really start again next sunday when i am back to Penang. Why not just try to enjoy, and get a good vacation before turning my gear up next week?
  9. Get a life, Kit Leong, Get a life~

The Fight is Still On

  1. It's been a while since i last posted. Well, finally it is the time. Two assignments done, another two is work in progress. One test and then finally the long awaited holiday.
  2. It is sort of like crazy, to work in the morning, then continue working on assignment at night. Weekends classes and more work to do then.
  3. Soon, my first semester as a MBA student will be all over. One more final exam after this holiday then it will be the period to wait for the final result.
  4. Currently there's many things to be done yet. Focus must be intact, work must be consistent as the fight is still on.
  5. Live to the fullness, to the fullllll-ness

Pressure, Anxiety and Restless

  1. The title summarized my feeling over this weekends. First there's two huge assignment due by 20th July 2013, one more due 27th July 2013. One last one i guess will be around the same date.
  2. This actually accounts most of my pressure source. Another part which disturbed my feelings, and confident is the news of dropping MBA from my new friend Chua.
  3. As things are turning to be more encouraging, and i had found a real friend whom i can trust and fight together, yet this news came like a lighting strike for me. It does shaken my believes and confident. Again my thoughts and actions are affected.
  4. Nevertheless, i tried to gather myself once more, re-affirmed myself about the reason for me in persuing this course and the outcome i want in the future. I tried hard and i knew the road still running far ahead.
  5. I had talked to Chua, hoping that he would change his mind. Telling him about sacrifices and choices that we had and ought to take. Anyhow i hope he can decides for what is best for him. For me, regardless how is Chua's decision, i will carry on without hesitation. My aim is clear, same goes to my conscience.
  6. My I-Phone kept restarting last few days, out of frustration, and i had decided to purchase new flagship phone by Nokia. It is the Nokia Lumia 920 that i had chosen. After weeks of reading review, i had made this bold decision to try the very first Nokia in my life.
  7. Been pampered by good design concept by Apple, i hope Nokia will not fail my expectation.
  8. Back to my studies, it is high time for me to plan my daily life, to maximized the time during weekdays; as weekends are never enough for studies and doing assignment. I need to stay focus and have more discipline to carry out whatever task that i had planned. Yes, that is the only way, working consistently.

Eventful, fulfilling, passionate way of life

  1. Throughout the whole week, after working, i had been working non-stop on the assignment of finance and accounting. Thank god and appreciate that i got to know a new friend, his name is Chua. Very helpful guy and friendly personalities.
  2. We met up every night to do the assignments together. I guess by having more interactions, it served good for both us, and drive us further to accomplish our task.
  3. The very first assignment after so many years. I took my work with pride, hence i would not like to compromise on the quality of my work. Details are studied carefully, hence this assignment took up alot of my time.
  4. During today's class, the result of the test 1 is out. I only manage to score 8 out of 10marks. Honestly i felt a bit of disappointment. Deep down in me, i was hoping i can be among the best of the class. My target is at least 9 marks out of 10.
  5. This serve me as a reminder to be more modest, and work harder for future tasks.
  6. I had not been sleeping the whole friday night to rush for assignment. Since my cousin Kit Hang came to visit, i had to spend my afternoon and dinner with him. I had to work till 1am and waking up earlier on sunday morning to do the final touch up and printing. So i only manage to catch 7 hours of sleep over friday night and saturday night.
  7. Today after one nice movie with chua and dinner at subway, it is a good time to recharge myself for next week.

真理

What is The Supposed Lifestyle ? Meaningful, packed but is it fruitful ?

  1. Seems like i had been complaining about busy life ever since early of this year. Piles of workload, pressure and more. What is more crazy is my decision to further my master studies in May 2013.
  2. When people kept telling me it is never easy to study part time, and i acknowledge that statement. As i am really putting myself in the situation, it really had surprised me; this is definitely tough one to climb.
  3. Juggling between works, studying, assignment, extra reading ( to gain more exposure and knowledge) took up a lot of my time. What about personal life, you know sometime for leisure, for friends and relaxing. 24hours and 7 days in a week are just not enough.
  4. When we are hungry, we can buy some food to eat; when we are poor, we always can loan some money from friends or family; but when we are short of  time, we cannot loan or get hold of time from anyone or from any where.
  5. Sacrifices have to been made; careful planning, and most of all discipline.
  6. Never i am a discipline man to wake up on time every day, and carry out what i had planned earlier on. Never i push myself so much to carry out task after task, plan after plan. I always like to go and act accordingly, spontaneously. Not too pushy, not too cunning and not too demanding.
  7. Often times, i kept asking myself what is the reason for doing all this? Is there a guarantee on better future? Better pay? Better job prospect? Sadly i couldn't find answer for that.
  8. Instead, what i know is, current option is the best available option and i had chose it myself. Comparing furthering studies, then still wondering around, i guess i still prefer the former.
  9. So, buckle up and stick to the plan; never look back but look beyond. Beyond the mountain, PERHAPS there's a green valley with beautiful small stream with a warm and friendly cottage for relaxing nearby.

Now and Then

1) My mind was running wild for quite sometime already. Kept thinking about what I am doing now; what am I expecting in return upon completing my studies; and what am I going to do next.

2) Perhaps it is all too early to make any judgement or decision right now. I guess it was my character in nature, always like to wonder and think ahead until a stage it is so overwhelm that it gets back fired. Too much of wondering will be unproductive and might causes more pressure and tension.

3) Of course I had been thinking, how my life, my job, my career perspect will change in the future. Even working in Singapore came into the picture the very first place before anything else.

4) Wondering am I up to test if the challenge come one day. Never in my life I had questioned about my ability to cope and to take up the challenge so seriously.

5) Yet, I still need to let the nature takes it course. Kept telling myself to take things one at a time. Now rush no harsh. Doing everything at present to my best possible might and we shall see what is at the other end. Embrace it with all the experience, knowledge and courage I may gather and pray for the best.

Chapter U - U for Ubah; MBA Orientation and Class Start

  1. As i had decided the title for this week post; UBAH; it reminds me of another "BERSIH" call exactly 1 year ago. I still recalled vividly when everyone went to the "BERSIH" rally; I had to stuck with cleaning my new house before i could moved in last may.
  2. This time around, it had been 2 weeks since our GE13 had over. There's still many calls around the country for more rally to show their dissatisfaction, and urge for a cleaner and more transparency election in Malaysia.
  3. I guess many was upset at the matter of fact that UBAH didn't materialized as hoped. Many quarters are saying that there's many fraud by BN, and BN blaming for Chinese Tsunami for not been able to claim the 2/3 majority. Whatever said and done, the people had spoken and it is down to the government and opposition to read and interpret it.
  4. We hope for a more transparency government, less corruption, more efficient and answer to the needs of the people. A government which can further improve the living qualities of all Malaysians especially the hardcore poor.
  5. UBAH itself can be applicable to the very phase of my life now. Spinning the thoughts of further studying MBA for few years; act of searching, comparing and analyzing MBA courses offered by variety institute; some soul-searching of why i need MBA and what i am looking forward with that qualification; and finally here i am, officially a MBA student.
  6. Yesterday, 18/5/13 (SAT) was the orientation and the very first class of Business Ethics. Seniors and juniors came together in the class and it was really happening in the class with 40 strong people. The philosophy of morale and ethics really tested my English proficiency level. Simple sentences took me at least 2-3 times reading repeatedly to understand. At times i could not picture what the lecturer or my friend had said as they've been speaking too fast.
  7. Recalled my good old days in Form 6 and University days. Everyone was actually very concern on the subject. Buying reference book, speaking up in class, noting down important points; as most of the students had a very clear aim coming into MBA.
  8. Today is the second day attending classes titled Business Accounting and Finance. The lecturer was good in guiding us to have an aerial view and concept of the whole module. Although the classes drag from 9am in the morning till 5pm. With short breaks and lunch break in between, we are still doing alright. Afterall we are all working adult and we should be able to have more control over oneself.
  9. What i can foreseen is, there's still a very steep uphill climb. My aim is not to pass the exam only. I wish to gain the knowledge, broaden my horizon and perspective and experience new things in life; In order to do that, i really need to do a lot of homework. This is the first time in my life that, i thought that reading lecture notes before attending classes, revision again after the class and before the next class is of utmost importance. Never in Form 6 or University days that i thought that revision should be done from Day1.
  10. Guess that is really an UBAH for me this time on. Thank you for the support from my family and my friends. Really need these supports as this battle or this war will be a long hard fight.

2ND Week of May - Mother's Day

  1. After intense politicking the past two weeks, finally the atmosphere around changed to a more lovely, homely and sweet atmosphere. Suppose this week blog i would like to write about social harmony and peace we enjoyed in Malaysia; but seems like everyone should have a kit-kat moment now.
  2. Today on FB, many of my friends were sharing of the gift, photos, and celebration they had with their mom and family. It is a good day, for us to show our recognition and appreciation to our parents.
  3. Perhaps it also served as a reminder for us to always acknowledge and remember the sacrifices our parents had made for us. It is not only on this day that we show respect and love to our parents; but we have to make it into a life-time practice. With this only we can be a better person in life.
  4. Me too, i had not been doing enough for my parents; i am reluctant to express my love to my mom and dad; it felt very awkward.
  5. As i grew older, so is my mom and dad; many of my friend who had lost one of their beloved parent told me that, better cherish now if not regret later. I knew and truly understand about the uncertainty.
  6. The great things about human are the relationship, family ties, love between family members, spouse,  friends, siblings, team members or even people who we never knew before. As easy as we can start and build the relationship and yet such relationship is fragile and easily disturbed. Our senses and priority must be pretty clear, that our priority is the relationship, and hence our action and thoughts must be on the constructive side but not destructive.
  7. We can never do enough to repay our parents; as we are growing older and now we understand more about the sacrifices they had made. A big solute to all Papa and Mama.
  8. By the way, i just took English Test last saturday, i felt really old school as i had bought pen and getting myself ready for the test, to my pleasant suprise it is an online test. Tell me how hilarious this can be? Haha
  9. Anyway, orientation and class will be starting next weekends. There's still mountain to climbs, in both work and life progress. Come On~
  10. In this Sunny Sunday, in conjunction with Mother's Day, let's pray that my parents my friend's Papa Mama always happy and healthy. Also, let all of us stand behind Malaysia, for a better tomorrow. We are Malaysian and We love our country.

That Day That Moment

  1. Perhaps it is one of the few very important decision that i make in my life. In this very chapter of my life is called Moving On~.
  2. Moving On~ What's next? What about my career ? What about my personal life? What about the future and life quality that i wish for all this while?
  3. One fine Saturday, it was 27th of April 2013. I gathered myself, and went to INTI International College Penang to sign up for MBA. Perhaps it will be a turning point; a stepping stone for me.
  4. I wish that by doing MBA, i will have much more input in my life. To gather more knowledge while harvesting from the experience of others MBA students. Other that making new friends, my perspective and thinking might be more overall, holistic. All in all, i wish to have some positive changes and input in my life now.
  5. Secondly, i wish MBA will be my stepping stone for future if i opt for changing career; changing career is not only means that changing from one company to another, but to change a total new field, field which i can not venture with the quality and experience that i have now.
  6. Sometime i do wonder about my ability to handle both work and studies at the same time; but i guess if this is a huge mountain to climb, that i have to really climb it to get to the nice scenery over the other side.
  7. I did share my decision with my family and a few friends which i thought was important for me as i am considering this as one of the important kind of decision in my life. For those who had encouraged me; i really thank them and be grateful for it.
  8. Well, that's about it; and i will be venturing into a new journey now. I wish that this journey will be a full-filling one; one that i am glad that i had taken it.

Juggling - Juggling ; Balancing - Balancing

  1. Things are getting more serious now, work load piling up; issues, questions, inquiries, requirements are coming from all corners and there's no hiding.
  2. Despite the hectic schedule, i still have that time to think about further studying in part-time mode. This is indeed quite surprising, even for myself. Guess this is really a wake up call i gave myself to buckle up; and i really wish to get this done.
  3. There are many new models this year as i am busy tendering earlier this year,  and currently it is the trial period before the products can go for mass-production. For next week itself, we have four models having their respective trial. I think that this is the first time throughout my three years here; that we are facing such circumstances.
  4. Anyhow, we have to be ready and take this challenge up; if not, SONY will be hesitating to award us more project in the future. As usual, the blame game, and kicking football kind of working philosophy still playing in the factory especially by the manager himself. Nevertheless i try my best to handle whatever situation that i could, and try to remain professional.
  5. I felt that it was a real shame for our manager to be in such level with no accountability. The responsibility and duty for him to carry out his job, but not pushing to others and avoiding.
  6. Something important to note here is that, i find that perhaps i am facing with a mental disorder now. One moment i can be very angry with someone while discussing issue with them, and then seconds later, when customer calls, i can smile and throw some lame jokes to them, after that, resume with my work without any emotion, resume the work i am doing before i have the argument with my colleagues. I notice this kept on happening, as i have no time to indulge in the moment, like continuing to be angry with something, or been in a moment for too long; i need to move on to next thing, and next thing and next thing.
  7. As for my MBA, the course will commenced in early May for Inti and end May for Segi. Overall i felt that Inti is giving me the better experience, the thing is the MBA is offered by INTI itself, with only twin recognition of MA in Management Studies by University of HertfordShire. Well SEGI's MBA is by University of Sunderland. Of course the latter will be more recognizable. The thing is after 2 visits to SEGI, the experience is not that great in terms of environment mostly.
  8. INTI's MBA is new but it gave me an impression that the course are more energetic, with more exposure. Perhaps, i will choose INTI over SEGI despite the recognition issue.
  9. I am not too sure will MBA be too tough to handle in part time mode, but my conscience are clear, that i want to do it. Hopefully i will be enlighten, enjoy and felt fruitful throughout this MBA journey.

5th of May; The Judgement Day

  1. Finally it was announced by the SPR; the 13th General Election will be on 5th of May 2013. Ever since 2008 March 8th, political parties had been busy politicking; throwing blames; trying hard to vow the voters by all means.
  2. Post 2008; the people of Malaysia had already started to be more aware of politics; be it for good or bad; the youngsters either pro-actively register as voters or been encourage, to some certain extend, been force by their parents to register as voters. Everyone with a very noble hope; with the vote in their hands, to vote for a better tomorrow.
  3. Myself; i wish for a more prosperous Malaysia; where the people will have quality standard of living through improve and expanded economic growth which par with good social advancement. I have to highlight the social advancement as the dilemma with fellow Malaysians are, we tends to be too focus on the material aspect and forego the social aspect. We work our ass-off and forget about family time, to care for others and the environment. We forgot to have self-reflection, to continuously improve our inner self in aspects like our will, thinking, EQ, ability to judge and justify, ability to analyse and been conscience, be critical yet objective.
  4. I am glad that the people are more politic friendly now, people used to hate talking or discussing about politics, that politics does not really matter with their life. These kinds of thoughts had already been placed nicely in the history book. People now are very proactive and likes to talk about politic. Sharing their two cents, their perspective, their way that things should be done.
  5. Sadly, as i notice, most of the opposition supporters, they have lost their way in the middle of the way.  Some of them went that extra miles, to go too personal when commenting or placing judgement on other people and matter. They forgot that, everyone has an equal rights, to choose and to do whatever they want as long as it is albeit by the law. They had failed to accept the difference by others, throwing ugly words and curses to the other party.
  6. Many cases which we can observed especially on social media; people giving negative remark and very personal comment on the party that dis-agree with their opinion or action. They had lost their sense, the basic mutual-respect and the morale value which they uphold. They had lost their credibility, and integrity. The reason is because of the ease and shield provided by social medial. We need not face another party directly, we can throw nasty comment by few clicks away, nor we need to be responsible with our remark as we can remain anonymous to others.
  7. We must be just, practical, objective and kept our sensitivity to others whenever we give our opinion. Our morale value, integrity and sense of responsibility must be in tag with us all the time. As much as possible, we must give our commitment to maintain and preserve the harmony our complex social circle.
  8. My hope for this coming election is for a better Malaysia. Personally i felt that BN government still has what it takes to lead our nation for another five years. The opposition still need to work harder to form a stronger alliance to topper BN government.
  9. The Malaysian Chinese will be the ultimate looser at the end if MCA lost badly ( which might be a good thing for MCA) but BN manage to form the government. Good for MCA as all those opportunistic people and outdated leader will leave or retire from the party and provide new blood a chance to lead. Bad for Chinese since it is not well represented in the government.
  10. An inevitable result, as most of the Chinese wanted a change, for a more balance, accountable, just and clean government. The logic is to give opposition a chance of ruling. By all means, this is a very clear and direct way to help Malaysia. The question is are we ready? Owing to the complexity of our social build up, we are not on our own. We have Malays, Indians, Kadazan, Ibans, and other minorities. We should not run political party based on different ethics but we have no choice as this is how it runs now. The time for a change will only come if all Malaysian moves towards a common target.
  11. The concept of 1 Malaysia is to bring all Malaysian under one roof, which is a very noble and great concept. The implication is clear. Logic will tell you that is another bull-shit, but we have to keep this dream alive in every Malaysian, for we are all looking for a more prosperous, harmony and greater Malaysia. So for this time around, my choice is clear, Give 1 Malaysia another chance.

心烦

Destiny and Fate; Future and Fortune

  1. This weekend is a meaningful one. It is a good weekend spend on helping others, giving my opinion, assistance and advice as much as i could.
  2. There's this talk on further education know-how and know-what for SPM and STPM students. The talk was held by MCA Youth Education Bureau for SPM and STPM students who had just received their result. It was my pleasure to join the talk in Sungai Petani and Kulim.
  3. My aim was very clear, i welcome the youngsters to question me and asking me opinion especially regarding my field of studies, or about job market, interview, course selection and so on. Honestly i felt that i am at a very good position to give opinion, of course i tried to make my opinion and advice to be more objective and without bias.
  4. It was a meaningful one, to talk to their parents; sharing and listening to their concern and worry point on Form 6 studies, Diploma or Degree, Vocational training or becoming a teacher. The very message that i had tried to bring across to everyone i come across; trying to tell them as much as possible that; there's no any field which is so in-favour or sun-set field which had very limited job opportunity. The main thing here is the students; whether they can be the very best; if not one of the best in that particular field.
  5. Getting a degree, graduating from undergraduate studies is only a stepping stone; an entrance ticket to the job market. The success of oneself and how they perform later on very much depending on themselves. Other hidden characteristic and plus point are like attitude, responsibility, ability to learn and withstand pressure, language proficiency, ability to lead and segregate jobs and most of all, the willingness to go that extra mile.
  6. All of the above mentioned plus point is the additional education which we can never get in formally. It's all through life experiences, influences from friends and family, through self-exploration, self-improvement, analyzing and improving oneself from what we see and hear. It is a never ending of self-discovery and improvement that leads to the building of above mentioned plus point.
  7. Sincerely, i wish all the students have a good future ahead of them; enjoy the process towards a success tertiary education. Gain and gather the good things and plus point as much as possible during this journey; as it will come really handy during the next phase of your life.
  8. As for me, the Star Education fair is during this weekend too. I manage to join this fair after the talk in Kulim. My aim was pretty clear, to look for colleges and universities which offers MBA in Penang. Of course, as what i had researched previously, Inti and Segi College indeed offered MBA both at the amount RM30K over two years in part time mode. Their preview will be in 1-2 weeks time and i shall join the preview to understand more about it.
  9. There's two more institution in mind; namely USM and Wawasan Open U. Frankly i think INTI and SEGI will be a better option; nevertheless i will keep a watchful eyes on USM and WOU.
  10. I am also in the progress of self-improvement and breakthrough. I wish that MBA will provide me with a very good platform for this. Again, as i keep repeatedly telling myself; at the age of 28; there's too much to accomplish and too little time. Hopefully things will be going accordingly.

Relaxing Sunday

  1. Time was really flying. Ever since started the year 2013; my work had been very tasking on me. Was totally busy till that i have not enough spare time for me to wonder around. The extra time for me to slow down; thinking over the things that had been happening around me.
  2. This is already my 3rd weekends since the last time i was back in KL. It felt such a long time already although it had only been 3 week since. This time I can recall what i had been doing over the last 3 weekends fairly clearly. The first week is a working saturday; and i had arrange the plumber to check out my kitchen sink. The sink had been clogged ever since i bought the house; this shows how much under-used was my kitchen only till the new couple moved in last december. I spend the saturday chilling at home; went to furniture and house fair on sunday, and then took out 2 cups of coffee bean to SP sharing with Kooi Wei.
  3. The second week is a non-working saturday; nevertheless after having brunch with kooi wei in Chai Leng Park; then i went to work; After work i returned home at 1pm and played some game. Around 430pm i went to pick Shu Mei up for coffee bean session. We talk about our job, our experience in Cambodia few years back and our plan in the future. Then i went to swimming. I spent the night on gaming again. On sunday is the time for household cleaning. Went to Tesco to do some shopping; then finally cleaning up my room, my toilet, change a new bedsheet with comforter which i bought from Tesco, and finally a tidy and clean room. After that i went to swimming again before going to SP to meet Kooi Wooi for dinner.
  4. This is the third weekend. This week might not be so productive as the previous two. It was a working saturday, after work i went back home to play game and took a nap. It was raining heavily yesterday so i had to call off the swimming. I went to catch up movie at nigh. A nice title by Dawyne Johnson starring in movie called Snitch. And finally today, i am in Coffee Bean now to enjoy my afternoon, writting blogs, bought The Edge to read, wash my car in the morning and prepare for swimming later in the evening. Hopefully it will not be raining cats and dogs later.
  5. Something that i felt important to note is; i had bought air ticket to Cambodia coming this August with Chee Jian, my old friend. 5 days 4 nights; hopefully it will be filled with lots of value and fun.
  6. Somehow, at the age of 28; i really felt my time was so limited. At the age of 28, is the age of accomplishment. Too many things to accomplish before i turn 30. I was fairly busy with work day in and day out, need to arrange my time so that i can do some exercise to control my weight and slimming down, trying to read more different articles ranging from environmental thingy (self-interest) ,to business and finance news (for self-development), cleaning my house and settle my monthly utility bills ( i felt this is a very heavy part too) and also trying to have a balance life between leisure and work.
  7. The sense of urgency is there. My time is very limited. If my dream of persuing a MBA will come true by the third quarted of this year, i can imagine how busy i will be that time. Well it is true that we reap what we sow. This the high time for me to accomplish whatever that i wish to accomplish by age 30. Suffer now or regret later. Come on~ Come On~

Just a different New Year

1) I can really felt the difference between Chinese New Year Celebration over the years.

2) The difference is in term of feeling, things that we do and physical appearance to some certain extend.

3) Of course everyone was saying that I am very much fatter now. Hence i think it was a high time for me to put thoughts into action.

4) I have to say that the celebration this year is quite boring. The days of playing computer game were all gone by. My gambling luck was never good, and I forgot to bring any book to read. All of these had further add-on to my boring-ness.

5) Tomorrow after taking breakfast, I will be leaving here back to subang. It is the first time in my life that I do not felt any sadness to leave my beloved hometown. In fact, I was welcomig the ideas of leaving here; I wish to have a proper rest and mode of life.

6) Of course by saying the above doesn't means I do not enjoy coming back to Ayer Tawar. What I am trying to note down here is the vast difference in feeling between now and then.

7) Not many years ago, all of us cousins will sitting down and chatting for a long time during the last day. Everyone was so heavy hearted to leave here. I even cried when I leave this place. That will be a big contrast now.

8) Anyhow, the celebration will be continued in subang. Before the dreadful Sunday night, and the Monday nigtmare coming week, I have to enjoy as much as possible.

Chinese New Year - Ulalar

1) Without fail, the CNY celebration that My family celebrate in Ayer Tawar is very much the same.
2) Reunion lunch which is not tasty yet expensive, relaxing yet boring afternoon, follow by dinner to finish up the left-over ( normally take days to finish the led overs because we had ordered reunion lunch for 30 pax as the matter of fact we only have a mere 19 of us.)
3) Normally in the night 除夕, we will stay up late to pray, to watch the fireworks and play some ire crackers. The thrill of playing fire crackers had totally subside within our cousin.
4) The first day of New Year, everyone will be wearing new clothes, eldest will be giving us Ang pow, and then followed by gambling session.
5) This year was abit special as Our aunty was away; there's no place to hav some delicious new year cookies.
6) Of course this CNY celebration maybe boring at times; we just felt like lying or settling down around in the living room and do nothing. A total non productive way of utilizing CNY. I guess that will ve a very large part of my family's culture.
7) This year will be slightly different as our cousin sister decides to play badminton in the first day of new year. How weird is that ? But breaking the norm, why not playing some badminton and instead of getting bored at home.
8) It's quite late now and I need to sleep already. Will update more details when available or when I was really bored. Haha

Contradiction

  1. It's a really awesome feeling when going to places which are so familiar but the little difference is  with an extra company.
  2. This tiny little difference actually dictates a whole new experience. By having an extra company, there's definitely more chatters and laughter; By having an extra company one can have the opportunity to taste more variety of food; By having an extra company one can share their thoughts and opinion on things happening around, the food we ate, and also receiving extra information and input from the other party, perhaps we might know a whole new different story from a total different point of view.
  3. Yes, i do enjoy doing something in life alone; but at the moment i thought that the feeling of having a company is better. So as one of the song sings " Two is Better Than One".
  4. I like having company for breakfast, and i like having a friend to watch a movie with me; we can chat till late night about our thoughts on the movie and other related things.
  5. I enjoy having a coffee with close friend; listening to their stories, their life, challenges in life, the little things that matter in their life; i enjoy listening to them.
  6. I love to venture to new places that i had never went before; experiencing a new and amazing environment, the first feeling that struck us, the moment.
  7. Sadly the reality is a total contradiction, hence the title of this blog. It's a luxury, like hitting a jackpot; like reaping the fruits which we soiled long time ago; to have a company enjoying the moment.
  8. Perhaps whatever that had happened to me in this past three years in Penang; the brief period of working in Envirogard ; the hardship i faced in my days in TBR; To make me understand the things in life that i need to use up my whole life to learn, it is the life itself. To be able to cherish every previous moment; to get hold of the present; and have no regrets later on. No regrets ... ...

Gathering

1) By chance I attended Chen Yeh's wedding in Melacca. Initially, since I have to work half day in the Saturday morning, it was not so possible for me to attend the wedding reception in Melacca.

2) As Zhien Choong kept persuading me to attend, in the end I bought air ticket to KL. He came picked me up from LCCT and we traveled down to Melacca with Chua and Lih.

3) It was fun to meet my fellow UM friends and juniors. Dinner went smoothly, everyone having fun and joking around.

4) They really enjoyed calling me Michael, to tease me because of her boyfriend's name.

5) It was already very late when we visit Jonker Street; what a waste. Anyhow we managed to try the famous satay celup.

6) There are many of us from 10th College staying in that rented house. Chua, Lih, Choong, me, Leely, Kaien, Ai Ai, Bee Fang, Kae Yu, Richard, Wai Sam, Wei Jie, Tat Hua, Wei Ying, Wen Hui, Ting Xuan, Hui Jun.

7) A very memorable gathering. Thank you for giving me a lift when I was down.

从前的喧哗,宁静了;
太高估自己的应对能力了;原来这次是输得好彻底;

01-01-2013

1) Well this is the very first day of year 2013. Many people opt to do something special on this auspicious day.

2) As usual I did nothing special today. Trying to make it as normal as possible just like any other day. Packed my stuff and came back Penang this afternoon. Preparing myself, to resume normal life.

3) Anyhow I do have some hope and wishes in this new year. Many things had happenned in year 2012 be it for better or worst it is all written and recorded in my book of life.

4) For one I hope that there will be lesser natural disaster; more peace for the whole world. Our country will be more properous and stable after the next general election.

5) My mom and dad, my family will all be healthy and happy. I will feel more established in my career and as for my personal life, I wish to have more control on my mind, to know what is good and bad for myself. Learn to see the good and happy things within.

6) And to my friend, each and everyone of us are growing and facing more challenges as we come to age. May god have more mercy on us and give us the stregth to endure all the challenge as it may come.

7) Appreciation and Contribution.
