Holiday Season

1) A five days four nights trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand. This could already be my 9th time step foot into this country with two trip to Bangkok, one trip to Krabi and Koh Lipe and four trips to Sadao and Hatyai with my friends and family.
2) A very clean and well developed city of Thailand. Despite the absence of nice sandy beach, there is still many nice attraction in Chiang Mai. I like the fact that the people here is the Thais that I knew of, friendly, helpful, corteous and generous. They are people of great service value and quality. Unlike the people I knew in Bangkok, influenced and stressed out by the you-know-who bunch of tourists.
3) A sad news of missing Air Asia flight from Surabaya to Singapore gloom out visit. This would be the unforgettable year for many of us in Malaysia. Loosing three flights in a year, and many human lifes.
4) Well' it is about time to leave this place, I have a strong feeling I will be visiting this place again soon.
5) God bless malaysia and the lost souls.

What's next ?

1) Guess there is not much time for me to stay idle? Barely more than 24hrs after my examination, this great question of mind started to ring in my mind again. What about my career path then? Where does my future lies? How am I goin to garsp whatever the future has planned out for me?
2) The very first INTI MBA alumni gathering was held today. What a good session where we can get together, chatting around and get educated from the sharing of fellow invited speakers on entrepreneurship, career advancement, investment and most importantly what's next? What is the next big thing we fellow perceived highly educated postgraduate students have in mind?
3) I had started to ask myself about this question for quite some time and to the extend of attending interviews in the end of September and early October. Of course all this had comes to no avail. I am still blur on my quest into the future. Nevertheless, as I had concluded previously, the experience gained from these interviews was a precious one. I came to understand of my shortcomings on the insight and having a purposeful life, A dream for my own future. I came to understand that I am indeed a capable person, and I can achieve things if I can focused and continuously working hard on it.
4) The sharing from one of the particular speaker Ms.Jeanne Ooi had rather trigger my brain cells about the questions on future again. She questioned about our dream, our version of purposeful life, some strong words from Martin Luther King: I had a dream. The idea of doing great things in life lies on the foundation of loving what we do In life came alive once more. Compromising might be an option here. Nevertheless, we only live once, and don't we all deserve to have a great life ? And for this, we owe it to ourselves, to achieve the multiple highs in life.
5) What a great wake up call, at such a perfect timing (during semester break). Clearly I know how to keep myself busy. Final year project, future, and future, oh ya, yes, and my dream.

A nice Christmas tree, and Christmas song playing in Starbucks Borders, Queensbay Mall. Holiday and festive season around the corner. Time for family, friends and myself.

Significant or not Significant?

Same Word Puzzle been looked from different angle. Multi-perspective nature of everything.
  1. Last Saturday was the last class for Statistics and Decision Analysis. Our group presentation was well received from both the lecturer Mr. Goh Chok Huat and visiting lecturer Dr. Ch'ng. This will be the last group assignment with my fellow group members, Allan, Rexie and Sia as after this we will be attending different subjects and then the final dissertation. We had worked together for many times for different subjects. Despite having a lot of comment and request from me, i am grateful for their understanding and the hard work put up all this while.
  2. A great transformation had actually began at the beginning of the year, since the Strategic Management class under Dr. Lee; followed by Business Research Methods class under Dr. Janaka and now the Statistics and Decision Analysis class by Mr. Goh. From someone who knew nothing about research, the philosophical background of research, the research design, the measurements of research variables, the validity and reliability as well as hypothesis testing to someone who now can discuss and evaluate research paper. To my amusement, i thought that is quite a transformation process.
  3. I can now know the difference between criticize and been critique to something or some matter. Tends to critically analyze some paper and appreciate the way things are carry out and enjoy how perfect things are seamlessly crafted in such a perfect manner.
  4. Things are changing, or rather i would said that the way i look and evaluate things are changing. The photo attached with this blog post is one of the many mini games we played in the last Stats class. A simple word puzzle that will display different sentences if it is looked at different angle. I have to record this on purpose to remind me to look at things from multiple angle and perspectives. Good or Bad, happy or sad, successful or failure, black or white, right or wrong, it is down to the very angle or perspective we adopted to evaluate the situation and condition.
  5. Things are design in such a way naturally and Taoism had already provided a structure to evaluate the nature using the Yin and Yang concept. Great wisdom from the ancient time that most of the people in today's world who pursue instant gratification failed to appreciate and understand.
  6. I am enjoying my learning process very much now. I can see and felt the changes it brought to my life. I can see the progress that i wanted when i first sign up for this programme. More to come? I hope so.
