- Sapi means cow in the local people's dialect. The place where SEO is located called Batu Sapi. This is because of a stone in that area which looks like a cow. But i don't see any stone mentioned.
- This is the second time i am in Sandakan. The first thing when mention about Sandakan will be the seafood and also the historical area, flora and fauna.
- Seafood here is really fresh, cheap and nice. One can say that, anywhere you have your meal in Sandakan, you definetly will find good fishes or shrimps. For instant, the normal noodles will be served with big shrimps and good fish fillet, even the Bak Kut Teh, the chicken rice here also served with fishes.
- Sandakan used to be the capital of Sabah and the biggest town too. There's a lot of chinese here and the local dialect is Hakka and Cantonese. This place have a very great influence from the Hong Kong. We can observed that from the look of the old buildings around the town centre and also the Sandakan Airport.
- Teatime in Sandakan is special where people will go to small shoplots to have their egg tart/cream puff/swiss roll and toasted bread. There's a shop served very good toasted bread, we can choose the filling either the read bean / peanuts or coconut.
- This place really filled with good and cheap food, just like other OLD town in West Malaysia. The only thing is, we do not see so much of racial things in East Malaysia. It's so common to see other races to dine in the chinese shops as long as the shop do not serve pork.
- Perhaps the local culture here had nurtured the people to be not so racist in nature.
- Sandakan Edible Oil Sdn Bhd will be my second project i undertake in Envirogard Sdn Bhd. This time the work is much easier having the experiece in Lahad Datu Edible Oil Sdn Bhd and also the scale of SEO's is much smaller.
- There's still a lot more to learn but i am taking my time. As the Chinese New Year approaches, feelings of excitement, happy all emerges together with the feeling of boreness, loneliness in Sabah. This is an unique experience and with the CNY mood, actually i feel spending the time here is not as tough as in Lahad Datu.
- Just received my comfirmation this month, really looking forward for the challenge ahead. I hope to see how far can i progress in another year to come in this company. In March, i will be travelling to Sarawak to work on the Oil-Water Separator in Bakun.
- Will this year be the year for me fill with stiff changes? Will my fortune be better? No matter what, i need to work hard for myself.
- Exactly 7 days later, at this moment, i will be at my hometown enjoying the first day of Chinese New Year. How fast time flies, from Christmas, to New Year and then Chinese New Year. Sometime, time really catches up with us just too fast, we are racing, racing with time to reach the destination. Either we achieve our dream first, or the time catches us up and it mean an end to our life.
