Nasi Lemak 2.0

  1. I had watched this local-made film by NameWee. One of the most controversial figure in Malaysia nowadays. He made his name by a song titled "Negarakuku" and then another song went popular in YouTube regarding The Power Supply Failure by TNB.
  2. This movie again had stirred some air and created many topic between fellow Malaysians.
  3. Of course, initially i was reluctant to watch this movie, owing to the Film is by Namewee and is locally made. I had a very bad experience with one of the local film, called 笑咏春.
  4. Surprisingly this movie is really funny, comparatively, i thought this movie is funnier than Johnny English Reborn. This movie blended with a lot of Malaysia colours, our culture, our political, social and daily chores and issues. Namewee successfully blend all these into this movie and present in a humorous way.
  5. Nevertheless, this movie got a lot of critics from UMNO Youth and some part of the society. Somehow, i beg for differ this time. This movie had let me to know the other side of Namewee.
  6. This movie is truly MALAYSIA, with many different ethnic blended in the movie. Many jokes are trying to criticize (in a humour way), regardless is GLC or the government. All in all, this actually lead to a good way. To admit what are we lacking and our weakness, meanwhile also be proud of what we have.
  7. The theme song Rasa Sayang 2.0 is rather meaningful. If we browse through the lyric, it's all about loving our country, be a proud Malaysian, and show gratitude to the country.
  8. Namewee is surely a patriotic-guy. No one will enjoy criticizing, waste their energy and time to condemn, it's ain't not fun. He has his way to show his love to the country, just that his way is different. Perhaps not everyone can accept it, but his big theme, his aim is to spread the message, to LOVE MALAYSIA, and be a proud Malaysian.
